Since its inception, the Maryland Microbrewery Festival has included the homebrewing community as an important part of the Festival's goals of beer education and appreciation of all forms of the brewing arts. This year, the Sixteenth Anniversary of the event, the festival will once again feature its annual Homebrew Competition.

  Judging will take place during the festival, September 28, on the grounds of the historic Union Mills Homestead north of Westminster, MD. Winning brewer's recipe will be brewed commercially by Brewery Fire (with the homebrewer's assistance on brewing day, of course!) for draught sales at Brewery Fire in Taneytown, Maryland.  
  
  Categories:  This year we will be celebrating British beer styles and will only be accepting entries in those styles. 

   

  Winners will be announced from the stage at the conclusion of the judging.  Entrants do not need to be present to win.

   

  

  There is an entry fee of ___ per entry, and entries are typically due between June 1 - September 10. Entries may be shipped, or dropped off at one of several drop-off locations. Check the homebrew competion site for and shipping/drop-off locations.

  The Homebrew Competition is organized by members of the Midnight Homebrewers League, and judged by BJCP Judges pursuant to the BJCP Beer Style Guidelines.
